Network Support Technician
Optomi is partnering with a large, technology-driven enterprise to find a Network Support Technician. This role involves providing Tier 2 IT Field Operations support in a fast-paced environment, focusing on troubleshooting and supporting various IT equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 2 onsite and remote IT support for end users and training facilities
Troubleshoot and resolve Windows, Office 365, hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Configure, image, re-baseline, and repair laptops for end users and classroom environments
Set up, manage, and troubleshoot network printers and peripherals
Monitor and update tickets in accordance with documentation standards
Support classroom and training environments, including deployment of new equipment
Assist with basic server, backup, and system health checks as directed
Provide inventory support and maintain accurate equipment records
Travel locally to support multiple offices as needed and participate in on-call rotations
Collaborate closely with team members to resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships
Maintain a positive attitude and sense of urgency in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related field
Experience troubleshooting Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365 issues
Hands-on experience with laptop imaging, reconfiguration, and break/fix support
Ability to support network printers and basic system configurations
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress, high-volume environments
Strong customer service and communication skills

Experience responding to and resolving user support tickets using an ITSM tool (ServiceNow preferred)
Familiarity with batch files, including running existing scripts and making minor edits
Basic, entry-level Python scripting knowledge sufficient to understand and make minor script edits
