Responsibilities
Calculate project energy savings using standard engineering methods (physics, mechanics, thermodynamics, fan laws, algebra, statistics)
Apply engineering principles to support program delivery
Conduct ASHRAE Level II audits with guidance
Develop IPMVP‑compliant M&V plans and reports with technical oversight
Build measure assumptions for program planning and business development efforts
Create program tools and calculators with technical oversight
Provide design recommendations for prescriptive projects and develop related training materials
Analyze logger data and utility consumption data
Review regulatory filings, commission documents, and evaluator reports for technical accuracy and communicate findings to senior engineers and program staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Energy or Mechanical preferred
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, ideally in Energy or Mechanical fields
Commercial or industrial sector experience strongly preferred
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
Ability to successfully pass a background check
Must reside in the Frederick area or commutable distance
