Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate
The University of South Florida is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate to engage in hands-on experimental research within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment. The role involves performing animal and cellular experiments, designing experimental approaches, and preparing scientific communications.
Responsibilities
Perform animal and cellular experiments, including animal care, disease model development, and surgical procedures, following established protocols
Design, develop, and optimize experimental and analytical approaches to address research objectives
Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate statistical methods and software
Participate in data interpretation and scientific discussions with supervisors and collaborators
Prepare manuscripts, grant proposals, and scientific presentations; present research findings at conferences
Review and summarize relevant scientific literature
Assist with laboratory organization and day-to-day operations
Qualification
Required
Participate in hands-on experimental research, including animal and cellular studies, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication

Postdoctoral Researcher: PhD
Research Associate: BS or MS
Degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, or related disciplines
Experience with animal models (mouse models preferred), mammalian cell culture (cell lines and/or primary cells), molecular biology techniques, and advanced imaging
Strong analytical, organizational, quantitative, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment
Strong motivation to learn and contribute to a collaborative, interdisciplinary research program
