Sr Technical Specialist - Hybrid role
TechTriad is seeking a Sr. Technical Specialist for their Platform Services team. This role involves ensuring technology systems operate effectively to deliver products, while troubleshooting and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Design and run diagnostic tests for systems and communications equipment
Assist in problem resolution and escalate as needed
Provide hardware/software support and resolve issues efficiently
Develop solutions for manual or inefficient processes
Train operations staff on networks and systems
Lead responses to major incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams
Contact participants when connectivity issues arise
Work with vendors and clients to resolve installation issues
Support WAN services and customer communication links
Implement changes in customer-facing environments
Coordinate disaster recovery exercises
Prepare operations for service implementation or decommissioning
Contribute to continual service improvements
Collaborate with client banks and payment networks on integration projects
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues
Perform root cause analysis and develop runbooks
Support releases, infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and disaster recovery testing
Support Java, WebSphere, and file transfer applications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or IT-related training
3+ years with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls
Experience debugging Cisco network issues
3+ years with management packs, databases, MQ, WebSphere
3+ years with Red Hat Linux and AIX servers
Experience supporting distributed financial transaction platforms
Knowledge of payment products, operations, and technology
Datacenter and monitoring experience
2+ years with VMware 5.X or 6.X
Experience with Windows Servers
Strong Java/J2EE server-side experience (preferably WebSphere)
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux commands, shell scripting, and database queries
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL and DB2
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Professional demeanor, able to work with customers, vendors, and staff
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong team player
Preferred
Experience with Open Banking, digital wallets, emerging payments
Unisys Mainframe experience
Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, ITIL
Experience with IBM MQ, Connect Direct, SFTP, FTP
Linux shell scripting
