Responsibilities
Monitors the order workflow while following quality procedures
Training new hires on quality procedures, leads by setting a good example, and provides input for improvement of the team
Ensure that items are properly packed and labeled. Participates in inspection of materials and orders to ensure accuracy. Ensures all jobs are mailed within SLA
Ensure the Shipping floor is organized
Maintains and organizes adequate shipping supplies
Able to maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping records
Runs daily reports in the ordering systems and internal databases to ensure all orders required are completed and mailed
Communicates via email about the completion of SLA and special requests for all Marcom clients
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 40 lbs
Ability to work well in a team environment
Accountable to adhere to client SLA and works closely with the fulfillment and QC clerks to ensure turnaround and job quality
Able to determine the most economical and efficient shipping method
Understands and follows established area policies, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety control standards
Use computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment
Identifies problems that can occur within the operations environment and suggests ways to eliminate the obstacles and improve workflow
Acts as the first contact for Client Services when shipping information is needed and aims to provide timely feedback
Participate actively in daily operations meetings and projects to evaluate workflow and look for opportunities to enhance processes
Must be a team player and willing to share knowledge to help people grow and develop
Ability to multitask and understand the importance of cross training in order to assist with increased volume in different departments
Must be able to transport material from one place to another and to carry up to 40 pounds
Ensure the service provided meets client expectations
Ability to work flexible hours/schedule
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to the dress code
Qualification
Required
High School Degree and equivalent experience preferred
Knowledge of a Shipping/Production environment. Ability to apply production procedures to day-to-day operations
MS Excel/Word Experience
Capable of working in a very fast-paced environment where working quickly to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality is essential
Ability to work in a team environment. Maintains focus under pressure and meeting deadlines
