Senior Accounting Analyst
Berean Group International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to perform a variety of routine and non-routine analysis functions in general accounting and financial departments. The role involves process improvements, standardizing procedures, and managing special projects while ensuring high service levels are maintained.
Responsibilities
Responsible for reconciliations of internal accounting data systems; researches and resolves variances as needed
Actively pursues process improvements and identifies customer success criteria
Maintains on-going partnerships with customers to continuously improve service levels and ensure needs are met
Researches and resolves discrepancies on general ledger accounts related to area of responsibility
Provides input to management and proposes recommendations to maximize production efficiencies by assisting with the implementation of standards and streamlining processes
Provides oversight and/or participates in M&A activities such as system and process integrations
Gathers and prepares metrics or assigned reporting for the supported business unit
Analyzes offshore production against Service Level Agreements (SLA) to identify issues with substandard quality, turn-around time, and productivity; suggests solutions to the management team
Qualification
Required
Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine analysis functions in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or other financial departments
Responsible for process improvements, standardizing and streamlining procedures, creating written desktop procedures, training, developing metrics for business units, researching and correcting reconciliation discrepancies, and managing special projects
Responsible for reconciliations of internal accounting data systems; researches and resolves variances as needed
Actively pursues process improvements and identifies customer success criteria
Maintains on-going partnerships with customers to continuously improve service levels and ensure needs are met
Researches and resolves discrepancies on general ledger accounts related to area of responsibility

Demonstrates a conceptual understanding of accounting and finance principles and the ability to apply them to the duties described above
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to diagnose and analyze problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions
Experience facilitating meetings with high-level cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typically requires 4 to 7 years of related accounting or finance experience
Preferred
Experience with mainframe systems; Oracle experience is preferred
