Environmental Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the implementation of environmental management systems across all phases of the program
Oversee the development and implementation of environmental management plans, ensuring full integration into construction methodologies and project execution plans
Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders
Environmental staff management: Oversee Senior Environmental Specialists and other environmental staff, including environmental compliance inspectors, per region
Audit, analyze, and report environmental performance indicators to Parsons management and relevant authorities, recommending corrective and preventive actions
Environmental oversight: Deal with the administration of obtaining federal, state, and local approvals and permits for the government and construction contractors
Reports: Compile environmental metrics for the environmental portion of the monthly report and dashboards, and compile and publish environmental reports for the Client
Meeting Minutes: Ensure meeting minutes are prepared that capture environmental approvals, concerns, and decisions by regulatory agencies, Contractors, and other stakeholders
Other Duties: Miscellaneous other environmental assignments as requested by the Parsons Program Manager

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline with at least 15 years relevant experience
Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination
Proven track record in developing and implementing environmental management programs for complex, multidisciplinary environments
Deep familiarity with environmental standards, procedures, and approval processes
Experience coordinating with authorities and clients on environmental permitting and construction compliance monitoring
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required
Must be able to obtain appropriate DHS suitability determination
