Responsibilities
Support laboratory safety initiatives, including chemical inventory updates, SDS management, and routine lab safety checks
Develop checklists for routine assessments
Assist with environmental programs such as waste minimization, recycling initiatives, and data collection
Conduct observations, basic risk assessments, and assist with developing or updating Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
Help evaluate compliance with biosafety, chemical hygiene, PPE, and emergency preparedness requirements
Develop tools, templates, or visual aids to improve safety communication and employee engagement
Organize and analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with scientists, lab personnel, and cross‑functional partners to gather information and support project tasks
Prepare and deliver an end‑of‑summer presentation summarizing the chosen EHS/ESG project, key findings, and recommended improvements
Qualification
Required
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a graduate-level degree in a field relevant to the internship
Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
