Director of Procurement
Dashiell Corporation is a leading national provider of technical and construction services supporting critical electric infrastructure. The Director of Procurement is responsible for leading and improving the procurement and supply chain function across the EPC portfolio, ensuring efficient sourcing strategies and supplier performance in alignment with project objectives.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the procurement organization across EPC projects, ensuring consistent application of sourcing strategies, procurement processes, and supplier management practices
Establish clear expectations for procurement team members related to cost competitiveness, schedule adherence, supplier performance, compliance, and risk management
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, market conditions, and overall company objectives
Partner with pre-construction, estimating, and project management teams to support bid-phase and project startup activities, including pricing validation, vendor selection, and long-lead material planning
Provide executive oversight of procurement activities for active projects, including material status, supplier performance, cost exposure, and schedule risk
Collaborate with engineering to ensure material specifications support constructability, availability, standardization, and lifecycle cost optimization
Partner with construction and field leadership to ensure procurement plans align with execution sequencing and site requirements
Lead supplier qualification, negotiation, and performance management processes, including development of preferred supplier relationships
Manage procurement risk, including supply chain disruptions, market volatility, long-lead items, and contractual exposure
Ensure procurement activities comply with contractual requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations
Drive disciplined procurement execution through standardized sourcing, purchasing, expediting, logistics, and closeout processes
Support resolution of complex procurement issues, including supplier disputes, schedule delays, material shortages, and quality concerns
Champion safety, quality, ethics, and compliance throughout the supply chain
Develop, mentor, and evaluate procurement and supply chain personnel
Support continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned and driving process, system, and supplier performance enhancements
Serve as an escalation point for internal stakeholders and suppliers on procurement-related matters
Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field required
10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within an EPC, construction, utility, power, or industrial environment
Demonstrated experience leading procurement teams supporting large, complex EPC projects
Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycles and the integration of engineering, procurement, and construction activities
Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for engineered equipment, materials, and subcontracted services
Experience managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and long-term supplier relationships
Strong understanding of cost drivers, market dynamics, and risk factors impacting electrical and construction supply chains
Experience partnering with project controls to manage cost forecasts, commitments, and material-related risks
Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and material tracking tools
Ability to interpret and manage contractual requirements related to procurement, flow-down terms, and supplier compliance
Strong financial acumen, including cost analysis, budgeting, margin protection, and cash flow considerations
Experience supporting bid-phase and pre-construction procurement activities
Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence engineering, construction, field services, and project management
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present procurement strategies, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
Comfortable making decisions and driving accountability in complex, fast-paced environments
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
