Tax Accountant II (Indirect Tax)
IMPACT Technology Recruiting is seeking a Tax Accountant II specializing in Indirect Tax. The role involves maintaining tax compliance, preparing and filing indirect tax returns, and providing tax support to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Maintain tax compliance and reporting to meet company tax requirements
Support tax research, audit responses, and other specialized tax matters
Ensure compliance with government laws governing income tax, VAT, sales & use tax, and other tax areas
Provide tax support to internal stakeholders on tax-related questions and issues
Prepare tax returns and supporting documentation/work papers (income tax, VAT, etc.)
Review tax returns and work papers prepared by others for accuracy and completeness
Prepare tax provision work papers and summaries for inclusion in global financial statements
Evaluate changes in tax law; analyze tax adjustments and positions; determine proper classification
Prepare or review transfer pricing studies (local, regional, and global)
Conduct tax research and interpret/apply tax rules and regulations
Prepare and/or review responses to tax authority inquiries and audits
Review tax reporting packages for accuracy and completeness
Provide tax technical support for corporate restructuring initiatives
Serve as liaison between the Tax Department and external service providers or vendors
Stay current on tax legislation, rulings, regulations, and litigation impacting the business
Qualification
Required
Prepare and file Indirect tax returns
Fundamentals of accounting
Advanced Excel
Maintain tax compliance and reporting to meet company tax requirements
Support tax research, audit responses, and other specialized tax matters
Ensure compliance with government laws governing income tax, VAT, sales & use tax, and other tax areas
Provide tax support to internal stakeholders on tax-related questions and issues
Prepare tax returns and supporting documentation/work papers (income tax, VAT, etc.)

Works independently with minimal direction, using sound judgment and discretion
Exercises significant autonomy in defining objectives and approaches
Work is reviewed at a high level rather than for day-to-day execution
May supervise 1–2 team members providing tactical or operational support
Acts as a primary contact on projects or engagements
Frequently interacts with senior leadership and coordinates cross-functional efforts
Decisions and actions have material organizational impact; errors may affect strategic goals and require substantial resource expenditure
