Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of OIRA’s data warehouse environment related to student success data
Audit data prior to census dates
Maintain stored procedures for all data warehouse tables related to student success
Direct the development of new data tables as analytics require
Support existing and develop new reporting to advance student success goals
Build visualizations of operational and historical data related retention, graduation rates, and other student success metrics
Build visualizations to support analytical models
Support existing and develop new analytics to advance student success goals
Annually re-train and deploy the first-to-second year retention model and evaluate its accuracy
Evaluate effectiveness of student success early alerts and other student success initiatives
Develop and deploy models to predict success of continuing students
Respond to research questions about student success
Coordinate and analyze institutional surveys
Coordinate the development, data collection, and analysis of institutional surveys
Serve on the Online Survey Review Group
Maintain survey data in the data warehouse
Maintain reports and visualizations of survey data
Develop strong partnerships with student success stakeholders to build a culture of continuous improvement
Clearly communicate findings to student success stakeholders
Assist stakeholders in making data-informed decisions to support student success
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science or another related field
A minimum of 2 years of related experience
Proficiency in programming languages/statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SQL)
Experience with advanced statistical techniques such as multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or optimization in a professional setting
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in articulating complex data and insights to stakeholders
Demonstrated strong attention to detail involving data, systems, and documentation
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Preferred
Experience with project management
Experience with DevOps and MLOps processes and procedures
