They are seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Planning Co-op who will work with the Supply Chain department, Engineering, and Manufacturing to enhance communication skills and critical thinking while assisting in various supply chain processes.

Responsibilities
Process the purchases of select Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) orders with assistance and oversight of the Indirect Procurement team
Work with various software and E-commerce systems
Work on projects and producing reports to assist buyers
Analyze, prepare, and negotiate quote packages
Assist with the liquidation of obsolete raw material and parts inventory
Communicate effectively and professionally with vendors, buyers, internal stakeholders & management
Troubleshoot vendor or order issues to help maintain the orderly function of the department
Apply Total Cost of Ownership metrics in evaluating purchasing decisions
Keep good records
Pass on your knowledge and assist with the training of your successor
Qualification
Required
Major study in: Business, preferably with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Operations
Engineering Management or Applied Engineering Sciences
Be an enthusiastic and self-motivated sophomore, junior, or senior
Minimum 2.8 GPA
Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent judgment and communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of the purchasing processes, including a basic understanding of inventory control, EOQ, A/B/C prioritization, etc
