Supply Chain Manager

Responsibilities
Leads site supply chain processes for production planning, shipping/receiving and materials ordering
Leads the monthly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning processes for Zeeland ensuring supply risks are escalated and actioned appropriately at the earliest opportunity
Identifies concerns, and opportunities from the site SIOP process through to the Global SIOP monthly review and lead and drive efforts to develop the long-range strategic plan for site
Leads the master production scheduling (MPS) process, partnering with Operation, Maintenance and Engineering Managers to develop plans enabling all functions to perform activities and meet customer requirements while optimizing resources
Works with the site team and Corporate Supply Chain to ensure capacity plans are in sync with longer term customer demand plans provided by SIOP
Ensures production plans are enabled by managing raw material and packaging requirements and dealing with shortages to minimize impact on plant and customer
Prepares and present KPI input in to SMR, weekly commercial meetings and weekly absorption tracker
Ensures Bill of Materials provided by Process Engineers are accurately documented on SAP
Drives Inventory reduction for raw materials, inter-mediates, and finished goods to meet site objectives
Leads the ABC cycle count program, investigating discrepancies to drive improvements
Creates action plans to control SLOB (Slow Moving, Obsolete) inventory to achieve site targets
Collaborates with purchasing and other departments with continuity plans for raw materials and identify and develop cost savings and efficiency improvement projects
Works with commercialization team ensuring internal and external communication on delivery performance, contribute with communication and support quality, projects and cost recovery actions
Undertakes other duties as may be required by Vertellus Management as necessary
Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times
Active participation in continuous improvement activities
Participates in problem-solving
Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
Experience using MRP/ERP systems
Experience with SAP
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis and demonstrated ability to monitor complex data over a historical period of time
Strong understanding and working knowledge of basic production processes and knowledge of sales and operations planning process
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
Strong working knowledge using Excel (pivot tables, report generation, data-mining)
Must be able to develop written instructions and provide verbal instructions on processes
Strong process improvement and project management skills
Strong verbal/non-verbal communication/written and presentation skills
Commercially minded, forward thinking, pro-active and ability to understand trade-offs
Timely and accurate with data and reporting
Be able to work independently as well as be a strong participant on team projects

Preferred
Certification by APICS (CPIM)
3 years minimum experience in SCM roles or supporting planning processes in a chemical, food or similar manufacturing plant
Minimum 3 years leadership experience
