ACCOUNTING OFFICER (SPECIALIST)
Caltrans District 3 is part of the California Department of Veterans Affairs, dedicated to serving veterans and their families. The Accounting Officer (Specialist) will oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Office, maintain accounting records, and perform monthly bank reconciliations for various funds.

Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and perform monthly bank reconciliation for the Morale Welfare and Recreation Fund, Donations Fund, Enterprise Fund, and Resident's Trust Fund
Be the lead over the Accounting staff and act as the liaison with Headquarters Accounting Staff
Qualification
Required
You will need to take and pass an examination for Accounting Officer (Specialist) to establish list eligibility prior to job offer
Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
If your eligibility requires that you meet the Minimum Qualifications of the class and you qualify under pattern requiring education, then the selected candidate will be required to provide college transcripts prior to appointment
