Supervisory General Engineer
US Washington Headquarters Services is looking for a Supervisory General Engineer to manage engineering and construction projects at the Pentagon. The role involves overseeing engineering design, managing personnel, and ensuring the execution of complex projects while maintaining engineering standards and providing technical support.

Responsibilities
Serves as the Engineering Design Branch Manager, reporting to the Engineering and Architecture Division (EAD) Director. Duties include management of projects, processes, and personnel within this branch focusing on delivering engineering products through design management of complex projects
Management of engineering subject matter experts (SMEs) and Design Managers (DMs), engineering reviews and standards, strategic and tactical execution of projects, engineering support for construction, and acting as Chief of Design and Engineering for projects across the Pentagon
Oversee engineering and construction projects which include technical analysis, planning, execution, monitoring, quality control, contract and budget management
Provide engineering expertise and technical support for repair, maintenance, renovation, and new construction projects involving general architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
Assist with statements of work and cost estimates involving architectural/engineering (A/E) studies and designs
Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for assigned contracts (oversight and execution), life cycle cost-analysis, and preparing and submitting funding documents to funding entities

Total salary varies depending on location of position
May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Required to participate in the direct deposit program
This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
This position requires you to pass screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and subsequent periodic drug screening thereafter
This position may require selectee to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime
This position may require up to 10% occasional travel away from your normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft
This position requires the selectee to obtain and maintain a Project Management (PM) Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute or an approved equivalent certification within 2 years from the date of employment
This position requires the selectee to obtain and maintain a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Certification within 1 year from date of employment
This position requires the selectee to comply with all DoW and WHS directives, instructions, orders, policies, and regulations
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service
