Responsibilities
Create 3D assets for Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) projects supporting DOD training development
Collaborate with Agile development teams to deliver design solutions that meet project requirements and timelines
Produce 3D assets within our defined pipeline and workflows that adheres to the established department standards
Participate in peer reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional team members
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in 3D Design, Game Art, Immersive Design, or related field at an accredited college/university at the time of the internship (Summer 2026) or the Semester immediately following (Fall 2026)
Required minimum GPA is 3.0
Must have completed at least 2 years of higher education (relevant job experience may be substituted)
0-2 years of relevant design experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required
Knowledge and/or experience with a major 3D modeling software package such as Maya, 3D Studio Max or Blender
Understanding of foundational technical modeling skills such as efficient UV unwrapping, efficient mesh topology, and consistent texel density
Ability to work within established pipelines, workflows and department standards
Some knowledge of source and version control systems
Portfolio of 3D work
Strong communication and teamwork abilities; comfortable collaborating with diverse technical and creative professionals
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
Creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new tools and processes
Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Comfortable receiving and implementing constructive feedback
Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
