Responsibilities

Research and track legislative action, policy issues, and current events at the congressional, state, and local levels related to Partnership priorities
Utilize Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other tools to track deliverables for team initiatives
Collaborate with Partnership staff to develop Congressional, state, and local advocacy strategies
Provide readouts and key insights from internal and external meetings, briefings, and events
Facilitate stakeholder management across the Partnership’s Initiatives, including organizing engagement opportunities and drafting internal and external Partnership communications
Assist with planning, preparation, and staffing for Policy & Initiatives-related meetings and events
Provide general administrative support across the Policy & Initiatives teams

Required

Knowledge, experience, and interest in public policy, government affairs, and advocacy
Ability to research and track legislative action, policy issues, and current events at the congressional, state, and local levels related to Partnership priorities
Utilization of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other tools to track deliverables for team initiatives
Collaboration with Partnership staff to develop Congressional, state, and local advocacy strategies
Providing readouts and key insights from internal and external meetings, briefings, and events

Assisting with planning, preparation, and staffing for Policy & Initiatives-related meetings and events

Interest and experience in public policy, government relations, and advocacy
Continuous growth mindset and openness to learning about new issue areas, particularly education, workforce development, transportation, and infrastructure
Previous experience in an office environment or other professional settings
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize as needed
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how to tailor communication based on the audience
