Developmental Specialist I/II (Casual) - Developmental Screening & Enhancement Program

Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego is seeking Developmental Specialists to provide clinical services for children within their Developmental Screening & Enhancement Program. The role involves assessment, treatment planning, and educational support for families, while also serving as a liaison with community referral sources.

Health Care

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, provides clinical services (screening, assessment, treatment planning, and/or intervention support) for children
Provides educational information to patients, parents and families regarding their child's developmental needs
Responds differentially to children based upon the child's age, understanding of the child's developmental level/abilities/disabilities, and cultural considerations
Serves as a liaison with community referral sources including physicians – offices and/or other treatment professionals to facilitate clinical and treatment options
Provides marketing and administrative support to program by producing flyers, handouts, and training materials and entering documentation into the computer database

Bachelor's DegreeBLS CertificationClinical ServicesMaster's DegreeComputer SkillsSpecial NeedsBilingual English/Spanish

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
6 months of experience in field related to area of specialty
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association
Computer skills sufficient to perform data entry, electronic charting, production of educational materials, and word processing
Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance - this position will require driving
Master's Degree in related discipline
Valid CA driver's license and auto insurance (if applicable)
Two years of experience
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association
Demonstrated competency in varied treatment modalities for children with special needs
Computer skills sufficient to perform data entry, electronic charting, production of educational materials, and word processing
Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance - this position will require driving

Preferred

Additional education beyond undergraduate degree related to area of specialty
Bilingual English/Spanish
Three years of experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
