Senior International Accountant
Harvey Nash is seeking a Senior International Accountant responsible for ensuring the timely completion of month-end financial reporting tasks for nine European subsidiaries. The role involves collaboration with the accounting department and foreign subsidiary managers, with opportunities for growth in various accounting areas.
Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, accruals, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency conversions
Monthly payroll payments for four European subsidiaries, including managing payroll correspondence from the subsidiaries
Partner with local service providers as needed to review and coordinate international statutory filings, including bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP
Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Provide backup for foreign AP as needed
Handle special projects as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
Strong knowledge and understanding of IFRS and U.S. GAAP
5+ years of accounting experience in a multinational organization
Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and communicate information clearly and effectively
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, facilitate effective team interactions, and foster a positive work environment; willingness to assist teammates to achieve departmental goals
Basic understanding of FX and intercompany transactions
Multi-entity Accounting and Experience with the Foreign Exchange and multiple currencies
