Entry Level Controls Engineer
Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology. They are seeking an Entry Level Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join their team, where the role involves developing control systems and engineering solutions for clients in various sectors, including food and beverage and life sciences.

Responsibilities
Develop and design control systems for our clients in the food and beverage, consumer health, life science, or advanced technology sectors
Provide engineering solutions for control systems and PLC/SCADA interface systems that meet and exceed our clients’ requirements for safety and optimization
Conduct system and facility engineering job walk assessments
Develop and design engineering solutions for equipment optimization
Design systems that will monitor and control process variables (such as pressure, temperature, humidity, and flow) in a manufacturing environment
Conduct root cause failure analyses
Document process requirements for instrumentation equipment
Interface effectively with engineering design team members and client representatives
Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree
Fundamental understanding of process systems, instrumentation, device selection, networking concepts, and reading electrical or process diagrams (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, etc.)
Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple project responsibilities simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and interact professionally with clients and vendors
Willingness to travel for project requirements, such as installation, start-up activities, meetings, trainings, and industry seminars
Preferred
Internship, co-op, or academic project experience with PLC programming, automation, instrumentation, or process control
Exposure to Rockwell Automation hardware and software, or similar industrial control platforms
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and process (MEP) systems through coursework, laboratory experience, or academic projects
Interest in or basic experience working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects, especially those involving owners, contractors, vendors, and integrators
