Senior Machine Tool Engineer

Responsibilities
Driving the performance and reliability of cutting-edge equipment
Installation and breakdown support, maintenance, servicing, and error mapping of machine tools
Collaborating closely with Capital Projects teams to ensure compliance and innovation in machine tool design
Qualification
Required
Minimum HNC in an engineering discipline
Significant knowledge and hands-on Industry experience of plant, equipment and processes
Hands-on expertise in calibrating and setting up machine tools, machine tool maintenance and service delivery with a knack for disassembling and reassembling complex precision mechanical systems
Confident building and refining PLC ladder logic programs, always with safety and compliance front of mind
Experience and knowledge of diagnostics of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Fault diagnosis experience across electrical, mechanical and software-based systems
Self-driven and comfortable working independently, but also enjoy mentoring others and sharing your knowledge across all levels
Strong Understanding of the legislation and know how to apply it practically in a fast-paced engineering environment
Well-versed in Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and know how to embed them into everyday operations
Have a solid grasp of current construction Health, Safety and Environmental regulations — especially the 2015 CDM Regulations
You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role
You must be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV
