They are seeking a County Director 3 for Child Welfare Services to oversee operations, ensure compliance with policies, and lead a team focused on child safety and service provision to families.

Responsibilities
Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved
Assures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation and reporting requirements
Builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within unit(s) and with other agencies and providers
Creates and maintains positive working relationships within the community and on the county DFCS Board
Develops and administers budgets
Facilitates communication within the unit(s)/agency on a specific case level as well as on a procedure/policy level
Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges social services employees
Leads and administers a comprehensive system of public assistance, employability and social services
Manages human services and directs administrative activities for groups of social services employees
Plans, administers and maintains the operation of social services programs
Reviews new and current programs to determine their efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with state, local and federal regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of subordinate management experience in a human service delivery program
Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of experience at the lower level County Director 2, Child Welfare Svcs (SSM071) or position equivalent
Related qualifications include social work and behavioral science degrees, including but not limited to the following: social science, psychology, sociology, child development, family studies, criminal justice, education, public health and public administration
Related experience include the provision of services in a social services environment
Preferred
Three (3) or more years supervisory work experience with DFCS or comparable child welfare agency managing Child Protective Services (CPS), Foster Care and/or Adoptions
