Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements, revenue reports, and contingency reserve calculations
Review monthly budget-to-actual reports and prepare clear, insightful variance analysis
Review balance sheet account reconciliations; research and resolve outstanding items promptly
Review channel partner fees and related journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support internal stakeholders by researching and resolving financial‑related inquiries
Assist in preparing annual audit schedules and coordinating with external auditors
Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates
Ensure all closing deadlines are met and maintain a high level of accuracy under tight timelines
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend improvements
Contribute to cross‑functional project teams focused on accounting, systems, or organizational initiatives
Complete special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting
2 – 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply technical accounting knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively with financial and non‑financial stakeholders, including executives
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism, a positive attitude, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Preferred
Insurance or Insurtech experience is preferred but not required
Experience in regulated industries or high‑growth/ technology‑driven environments
Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
A process‑improvement mindset and comfort working in evolving environments
