1+ years expAmynta Group is seeking a Core Accounting Specialist to join their Dealer Solutions accounting team. The role involves ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and reconciling transactions, as well as coordinating with producer and carrier partners.
Insurance
Responsibilities
Applies deposits received in the appropriate accounting system
Follows up on and collects past due payments from clients
Works with Underwriting to issue notices of cancellation for unpaid policies
Prepares and uploads necessary journal entries into the appropriate accounting system
Assists with ad-hoc projects as requested by management
Performs routine/basic accounting responsibilities
Assist with monthly close process, including preparation and recording entries in both subledger system (MGA Systems - IMS) and Amynta’s general ledger system (Workday)
Flexibility to work on special projects and meet the demands of clients
Works closely with Operations Manager, Accounting and Clients under immediate supervision
Reconciles various bank accounts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (Required)
1+ year's' working in an accounting role
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Required)
Preferred
Experience with mainframe or cloud-based systems (preferred)
Experience with insurance products (preferred) – Amynta Dealer Solutions team willing to train individuals with little to no insurance experience
