Litigation Legal Assistant

Beacon Hill is a mid-sized law firm seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy litigation practice. The role involves drafting legal documents, managing attorney calendars, and providing administrative support in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Draft, revise, and format pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents
File documents electronically in state, federal, and appellate courts
Maintain pleading and discovery binders and manage incoming and outgoing mail
Manage attorney calendars and assist with meeting litigation deadlines
Communicate with clients, courts, and internal legal teams
Open new matters, prepare conflicts checks, and draft engagement letters
Process monthly billing and enter attorney time
Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed

Required

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant or legal administrative assistant
Strong state and federal e-filing experience required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including redlining, document comparison, advanced formatting, TOCs/TOAs, and hyperlinks
Proficiency with a document management system (iManage preferred)
Comfortable with heavy typing and document production
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Associate's degree or higher preferred; no degree required
