STRUCTURED CABLING TECHNICIAN
Tek One Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to support fiber and wireless infrastructure deployments across large commercial and multi-dwelling unit environments. The ideal candidate will have strong low-voltage expertise and the ability to lead small teams on active job sites.
Responsibilities
Install and mount indoor and outdoor access points (APs), ONTs, switches, and related devices
Perform ceiling, wall, and pole-mounted hardware installations
Run, terminate, and test Cat6 and Cat6A cabling
Accurately document device MAC addresses, serial numbers, and installation locations
Install 2-post and 4-post racks, wall-mount cabinets, and backboards
Mount, cable, and dress switches, routers, patch panels, and power systems
Label and route cabling in accordance with ISP and project standards
Terminate single-mode fiber
Perform fusion splicing for pigtails, drops, distribution fibers, and splitter trays
Build, dress, and label splice trays and slack storage
Test and validate fiber links using appropriate test equipment
Install indoor and outdoor fiber enclosures
Coordinate work on active job sites and support small crews as needed
Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas
Follow all site safety rules and PPE requirements
Leave customer and residential spaces in clean condition upon completion
Adhere to all company, client, and safety policies
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, and wireless installations
Ability to work independently after initial onboarding
Leadership capability to guide and support small teams
Clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Must provide all standard hand tools
Full PPE required on site
Preferred
Fiber splicing experience preferred (training available for strong candidates)
BICSI certification preferred (not required)
