Manager Practice Operations - Internal Medicine

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of clinical staff
Work closely with the Director- Practice Operations to develop clinic and staff performance goals and objectives
Responsible for the interviewing, selection, and clinic onboarding process of new staff
Supervises and completes performance evaluations and/or corrective action
Responsible for the implementation of company policies
If managing multiple clinic sites, regular site visits for all locations are required
Acts as a liaison for referring physicians, patients and families
Manage clinic internal and external relationships by maintaining a high overall satisfaction rating from providers, leadership, and staff
Serve as the first point of contact for any patient and/or customer complaints. Work to thoroughly investigate and resolve all complaints relating to the operations of the clinic in a timely manner
Continuously review clinic day-to-day operations and work with the Director – Practice Operations to propose and implement new processes/procedures to reduce costs, increase revenue, and/or improve clinic efficiencies, etc
Responsible for maintaining knowledge and processes related to the regulatory, licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements for all clinic staff. Partner with appropriate department(s) when out of compliance or renewals are needed
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
Responsible for clinic operation financial management including purchasing, expenses, personnel management
Responsible for determining priorities and appropriately allocating resources

Required

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years' experience in a clinic or healthcare setting required
Minimum of two years of experience to include the following: oversee the work of a group of people, hire, fire, assign work, orient, train, evaluate, discipline, coach/mentor and/or negotiate and interpret conflicts and influence outcomes on matters of significance OR four years of experience to include the majority of the following: serve as a technical expert for a group of employees, regularly model/mentor and train employees on technical skills, make decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group, provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues and provide input on performance appraisals and/or disciplinary actions required
Able to organize and perform multiple tasks, problem-solve and prioritize work assignments
Advanced interpersonal relationship and customer service skills required to effectively communicate with staff, physicians, administrators, patients, visitors and vendors
Ability to mentor, supervise, delegate and evaluate
Able to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents
Able to travel to various locations
Knowledge of possible hazards to patients during treatment and of necessary precautionary measures
Knowledge of advanced management principles
Knowledge of basic accounting or finance skills
Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders & advocate and influence change
Ability to determine and to instruct others in determining the proper length and intensity of individual treatments
Able to deal tactfully and effectively with the physically and mentally disabled patients
Able to maintain adequate work reports and to prepare periodic reports of treatments
Skilled in patient evaluation and application of treatment
Skilled in developing and facilitating presentations
