The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is seeking an Associate Telecommunications Engineer to join their team. This role involves ensuring engineering services for public safety communications meet critical operational requirements and may include rotational assignments within engineering divisions.

Under direction of a Senior Telecommunications Engineer, the position ensures engineering services for public safety communications meet the critical operational requirements of the state
Rotational assignments: This position may be rotated within the Radio or Microwave Engineering Divisions based on factors that include cross training and workload management
In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites
