Junior Project Manager
The City of New York is seeking a Junior Project Manager to work within the Borough Based Jails Program. The role involves performing elementary-level project management work, assisting with oversight of construction work, maintaining project management information systems, and coordinating project activities.

Responsibilities
Oversight of construction work performed by third party service providers, in the office and in the field
Maintaining a project management information system to provide data for the planning and control of project development
Establishing project timeframes and cost schedules
Determining and coordinating project activities required between the client agencies, contractors, and departments responsible for project completion
Reviewing all schedules, reports, and orders prepared by consultants, contractors, and client agencies to assure conformance with project completion dates
Checking contractors’ work performance and preparing management reports
Resolving problems that arise in meeting schedules and assigned budgets
Processing payment requisitions and change order reviews
Qualification
Required
A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills
Ability to multi-task various projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
