Responsibilities
Provides information about CHG by conducting presentations and outreach to staff and clients of community organizations, and medical, dental, and optometry offices
Enroll eligible individuals into the Community Health Groups Medicare and or Medi-Cal plans
Promotes CHG's mission by organizing and participating in community health fairs and other events
Supports team effort by performing other duties as assigned or requested; participating in meetings and on committees; attending workshops, training, and seminars; continuing professional development; networking; following corporate, division, personnel, and safety policies and procedures
Maintains product and company reputation and contributes to the team effort by conveying a professional image and accomplishing related tasks; participating on committees and in meetings; performing other duties as assigned or requested
Conducts provider surveys, and community outreach, and assists other departments within the organization as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
Must possess a Resident Insurance Producer Accident and Health Agent License to be considered for the position
Excellent oral communication skills
Bilingual ability in English/Spanish required
Self-directed; ability to recognize and capitalize upon opportunities to promote CHG programs and services in many different venues
Constant driving within SD County
Public speaking
Will be required to work evenings and/or weekends and to carry needed equipment for community events, in personal car (e.g., canopy, helium tank(s), materials, etc.)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
1-year successful community outreach experience, preferably related to healthcare and/or Medi-Cal managed care plans
Knowledge of Medi-Cal managed care plan benefits and eligibility requirements and Community Health Group programs and services
Familiarity with community social service organizations and groups
Current CA driver's license, proof of auto insurance and working car
