Manager, Project & Engagement
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a versatile professional to serve as the Project & Engagement Manager. This role is responsible for integrated planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement for the Collective Impact Initiative, ensuring strong project management discipline and cross workstream coordination.

Responsibilities
Integrated Planning & Coordination: Leads the end-to-end planning and coordination of the Collective Impact Initiative by developing and maintaining a unified project roadmap that integrates timelines, milestones, and dependencies across all five workstreams. Baselines the current state of plans, artifacts, and commitments, and conducts gap analyses to determine where retroactive planning or documentation is needed. Partners closely with workstream leads to translate objectives into clear deliverables, milestones, and sequencing while balancing new structure with existing momentum. Ensures strong alignment between strategy, project plans, and execution activities by identifying and managing cross workstream dependencies, synchronizing planning cycles, and proactively mitigating risks or barriers that could impact delivery. Supports prioritization and sequencing decisions to ensure feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives, while reinforcing project management standards established by the Strategy Realization Office to maintain consistency in documentation, reporting, and governance. Stakeholder Engagement: Designs and manages a robust stakeholder engagement strategy that ensures clear communication, transparency, and active involvement of global partners throughout the transformation journey. Builds strong relationships across diverse geographies, functions, and levels of the Habitat for Humanity. Facilitates ongoing dialogue through forums, meetings, updates, and engagement activities that keep stakeholders informed, aligned, and invested. Ensures stakeholder needs, feedback, and perspectives are continuously integrated into initiative planning and delivery. Create and maintain collateral to inform and engage stakeholders on the initiative progress. ( 30%)
Change & Delivery Alignment: Partners closely with the Strategy Realization Office to ensure initiative delivery aligns with enterprise project management and change management standards. Ensures all workstreams remain aligned with overarching transformation objectives and change readiness considerations by integrating project management, change management, and governance practices into a cohesive delivery approach. Coordinates change planning across workstreams to support consistent messaging, timing, and expectations, while accounting for varied starting points. Supports the development and sequencing of communications, training, and enablement activities that promote adoption, build capability, and strengthen long-term sustainability of new processes, tools, and ways of working. (20%)
Workstream Enablement & Support: Provides hands-on support to each workstream lead to ensure clarity of priorities, alignment with initiative goals, and steady progress against deliverables while maintaining their ownership of outcomes. Serves as a trusted delivery partner who supports planning and sequencing, risk and issue management, dependency identification, and synthesis of status updates. Acts as a connective point across workstreams by facilitating collaboration, shared problem solving, and information flow, and by surfacing themes that require leadership attention. Works to remove barriers, streamline workflows, and reinforce consistent reporting practices. Ensures each workstream has the tools, support, and visibility needed to deliver high-quality outcomes and sustain momentum across the initiative. (10%)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ year of experience in project management, program management or community engagement
5+ years of experience in a nonprofit organization
Comfort operating in phased, evolving environments with ambiguity
Ability to work through influence rather than authority; strong relationship skills across geographies and functions
Strong grounding in project management, change management, governance, and delivery integration
Strong communication skills
English fluency
Preferred
Experience supporting enterprise or network wide initiatives involving data, measurement tools, & platforms
Experience working as part of a global team
Experience collaborating virtually and in remote settings
