Responsibilities

Prepare, develop, and monitor the office’s budget
Conduct expenditure projections, long-range fiscal planning, and perform special analyses on key fiscal issues
Prepare and review baseline budget adjustments, budget galleys, supplemental schedules, and execute budget drills
Develop budgetary and fiscal documents, presentations, and status reports for senior management
Serve as the subject matter expert on budgeting forecasts, trends and expense management
Utilize FI$Cal and Hyperion to analyze financial reports and budget availability
Research and analyze budget appropriations for fiscal year-end close

Required

Strong analytical and communication skills with demonstrated experience synthesizing information and communicating in a clear and concise manner
Expert knowledge of budget development, fiscal processes and financial reporting requirements
Ability to manage multiple budget projects and priorities with competing deadlines, ensuring accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience using research and information-gathering techniques; basic principles and practices of descriptive and inferential statistics
Proficiency with software and tools including Microsoft 365, FI$Cal and Hyperion
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve fiscal goals
Conduct complex budgetary functions within the Fiscal and Business Services Branch
Work independently and use good judgment to produce accurate, high quality work products
Manage multiple tasks and priorities, meet due dates, and establish and maintain effective working relationships
