Director of Sales-USA
Connect Worldwide is a company specializing in innovative international sales, marketing, and public relations for hotel companies and tourism destinations. They are seeking a seasoned Director of Sales – USA to lead strategic account development and revenue growth across the United States for their portfolio of luxury hotels in Asia, focusing on corporate travel, meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE).
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the U.S. corporate and MICE sales strategy for assigned luxury hotels and resorts in Asia
Drive revenue from multinational corporate accounts, regional headquarters, and global meeting planners
Identify and develop new corporate and MICE opportunities within the U.S. market
Manage a portfolio of high-value U.S.-based corporate and MICE accounts, including:
Multinational corporations and global accounts
Corporate travel managers and procurement teams
Meetings management companies (MMCs) and third-party planners
Incentive houses and event agencies
Negotiate corporate preferred agreements, volume commitments, and MICE contracts
Maintain a consistent cadence of in-person sales calls, presentations, and client events
Position the Asia portfolio as a compelling destination for executive meetings, incentives, and large-scale events
Work closely with property MICE and events teams to develop competitive proposals and creative solutions
Support bid strategies, RFP responses, and site inspections for U.S.-sourced meetings business
Serve as the senior U.S. ambassador for the brand’s Asia portfolio
Represent the company at major corporate travel and MICE trade shows, industry forums, and client events
Collaborate with marketing teams on U.S.-focused corporate and MICE campaigns
Partner with on-property sales, events, and revenue teams across Asia to ensure alignment and service excellence
Share market intelligence, demand trends, and competitive insights with regional and global leadership
Act as the key liaison between U.S. clients and Asia-based hotel teams
Monitor sales pipelines, account production, and conversion metrics
Prepare forecasts, activity reports, and strategic updates for senior leadership
Manage budgets related to U.S. sales activities and trade engagement
Qualification
Required
8–10+ years of sales experience in luxury hospitality, with a strong focus on Corporate and MICE
Demonstrated success managing U.S.-based corporate and meetings accounts for international or Asia-focused hotel portfolios
Established network within corporate travel, meetings, incentives, and event planning sectors
Strong understanding of global corporate travel programs and MICE procurement processes
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Preferred
Prior representation of Asian luxury hotels or resorts in the U.S. market
Experience with multinational corporate accounts and global RFP programs
Background with global luxury hotel brands or independent luxury collections
