They are seeking a Summer 2026 Water Resources Engineering Intern to assist experienced engineers on real projects, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to project development.

Responsibilities
Assist experienced engineers in solving complex engineering problems and executing project goals
Support engineers and CAD staff with design-related tasks such as calculations, plan production and review
Learn and utilize engineering and design software (e.g., MGSFlood, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS) to contribute to project development
Travel to project sites to observe various stages of project development
Apply core engineering principles and advanced mathematical techniques to tackle real-world challenges
Build familiarity in navigating federal, state, and local regulations, while aligning with KPFF’s and our clients’ standards and practices
Participate in our intern program which includes training luncheons, site visits, and social events with other interns officewide
Thrive in a vibrant, inclusive, and collaborative team environment that values creativity, curiosity, and excellence
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing an ABET accredited bachelors or master's degree in civil (preferred) or environmental engineering
Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals
Strong written and verbal communication
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desire for continued learning
