Control Account Manager

Y-12 National Security Complex is seeking a Control Account Manager to support the W87-1 LEP program. The CAM will oversee performance, budget, and schedule for assigned control accounts, ensuring proper execution of work and reporting progress to the project management team.

Responsibilities

Ensures that Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) principles are followed, and the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) is correct, including preparation of Variance Analysis Reports (VARs) monthly to explain deviation in performance from the baseline schedule
Provide Monthly Earned Value status for each assigned Control Account
Ensure execution organizations have the correct charge numbers for the work being performed
Assist the program managers with identifying risks, contingency, and validating cost estimates for anything that prohibits the scope within assigned Control Accounts from being accomplished within the baseline cost and schedule perimeters
Develops corrective actions and write trends as necessary to address deviations for the PMB
Leading the development of mitigation strategies for the associated risks throughout the life of the Control Accounts
Coordinating with Product and Process Engineers to effectively manage assigned control accounts

Required

Bachelor's degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
OR Master's degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
OR PhD
Twelve (12) or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required
This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination
This position may be categorized as a 'designated position' identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination

As an employee, you may be required to receive and maintain a security clearance from the United States Department of Energy in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information or matter

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a engineering/science discipline
Typical experience ranging from 7 to 10 years
Knowledge of Material Capability Areas associated with manufacturing CSA components
Experience with Earned Value Management systems, risk management and performance improvements such as writing variance analysis and developing risk analysis and mitigation strategies
