Responsibilities
Active role in New Business and Renewals RFPs through an in-depth understanding of OptumRx and all competitors, industry trends, market dynamics and internal key performance indicators
Working closely with internal teams, including sales, finance, proposal, legal and operations, to structure competitive deals
Pricing support in acquiring new clients and retaining existing clients
Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to key stakeholders
Negotiate contract terms and conditions to achieve favorable underwriting outcomes
Review and approve underwriting requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Qualification
Required
2+ years in financial pharmacy benefit management or other underwriting experience
Client-facing experience, problem-solving and decision-making skills including negotiating and consulting with clients
Solid business and financial acumen, including solid financial analysis experience
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet required deadlines
