Mortgage Loan Processor
Akkodis is seeking an Associate to Senior Associate to join their Syndicated Loans Operations team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of syndicated loan products, ensuring accurate delivery for assigned portfolios, and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities
Process and oversee lifecycle events for syndicated loans, including trade settlements (primary and secondary), drawdowns, repayments, interest and fee accruals, rate resets, rollovers, and restructurings
Maintain accurate loan positions, cash movements, and accruals across borrower, lender, and agent facilities
Review loan documentation (credit agreements, amendments, notices) to ensure accurate setup and event processing
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of cash, positions, and accruals; investigate and resolve breaks and exceptions
Support interest calculations, fee processing (upfront, commitment, agency), and payment allocations in line with loan terms
Adhere to internal control frameworks, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and reduce operational risk across syndicated loan processing
Partner with technology and change teams to support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and volume scalability—especially during peak periods
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, agents, and clients regarding loan activity, settlements, and operational inquiries
Provide clear, timely updates on complex loan events, breaks, or settlement issues
Support the team manager by supervising daily deliverables and prioritizing workflow
Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of ownership, control awareness, and continuous learning
Utilize and oversee processing across syndicated loan platforms and tools such as Loan IQ (or equivalent), cash systems, reconciliation tools, and reporting platforms
Collaborate with technology, data, and upstream/downstream teams to improve system integrations and operational transparency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2–5 years of relevant experience in Syndicated Loans Operations, Loan Administration, Middle Office, or related banking/credit operations functions
Strong understanding of syndicated loan products, including LIBOR/SOFR-based facilities, revolvers, term loans, and agency structures
Experience with Loan IQ or similar loan servicing platforms is highly desirable
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Business English
