They are seeking an A&P Fabrication Mechanic to join their fabrication team responsible for machining, bending, and assembling aircraft components from engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities
Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal and composite materials
Read and comprehend blueprints to complete build and modifications, follow both written and verbal instructions
Install rivets, nut plates, and other aircraft hardware to specifications following FAA guidelines
Perform sheet metal forming to tolerances and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices
Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength, thickness standards
Work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards regarding PPE
Perform bath and spray Alodine procedures per proper processes
Understand and apply FAA standards
Effectively document job completion paperwork
Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to part painting, composite lay-up, and machine shop operations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working with sheet metal, or completion of a technical school program in a similar field of study; composite fabrication training a plus
Must provide own basic tools (specialty tools are provided)
Ability to follow directions and remain on task
Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
Preferred
A&P license preferred
Painting, CNC machining, and composite lay-up are preferred but not required
