Sales Development Representative
Progress Learning is dedicated to empowering educators with personalized teaching tools and support. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for appointment scheduling, outbound prospecting, and building relationships as the initial point of contact for the company.
Responsibilities
Responsible for an assigned territory or portfolio of customers for remote sales development outreach
Partner with Marketing to ensure qualified leads flow effectively through lead-handling processes
Coordinate with Account Executives to understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities
Reach out to prospects to promote new and existing products and services
Select appropriate product information to meet individual customer needs and support upselling
Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers
Utilize Salesforce and other tools in the sales tech stack to track inbound leads, outbound outreach, and activities
Identify prospect needs, determine viability, and book meetings for the appropriate Account Executive
Proactively seek new opportunities within assigned territories and markets
Identify cross-selling opportunities across Progress Learning products
Support company-wide sales initiatives in collaboration with sales leadership
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Active listening and consultative questioning skills
Ability to research prospects and tailor outreach
Strong time management and organizational skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
Resilience and persistence in handling objections and rejection
Tech-savvy with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce experience preferred)
