Responsibilities
Own the vision, roadmap, and architecture for enterprise data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and operational databases
Lead and manage a team of data engineers, analysts, and governance specialists to deliver scalable data solutions that support analytics, product development, and business operations
Design and implement data integration strategies across internal and external systems (e.g., claims processing, CRM, finance, cloud systems)
Develop and enforce data governance policies and frameworks, including data quality management, metadata standards, and access controls
Oversee the creation and maintenance of the enterprise data dictionary and master data management (MDM) initiatives
Collaborate daily with business leaders to define high-impact data use cases, support reporting needs, and prioritize data platform enhancements
Lead enterprise data projects such as data warehouse modernization, cloud migrations, or data lake implementations
Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations around data privacy and security, including HIPAA and CMS requirements
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making through enablement of self-service analytics and data literacy across departments
Evaluate and implement modern data tools and technologies, including ETL/ELT platforms, data catalogs, BI tools, and cloud services
Qualification
Required
Experience in shaping and executing enterprise data strategy
Proven track record in overseeing data engineering, analytics infrastructure, and governance
Ownership of organization's data architecture, data platforms, and policies
Ability to ensure data accuracy, security, accessibility, and alignment with business objectives
Experience partnering with stakeholders across IT, operations, clinical, finance, and compliance
Leadership experience in managing a cross-functional team responsible for databases, data pipelines, reporting platforms, and governance frameworks
Ability to support real-time operational needs and long-term strategic goals
Experience in advanced analytics, regulatory reporting, and automation
Vision and roadmap development for enterprise data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and operational databases
Team management skills for data engineers, analysts, and governance specialists
Design and implementation of data integration strategies across internal and external systems
