Technical Writer
Engineered Corrosion Solutions, LLC is seeking a Technical Writer to manage day-to-day technical document related activities. The role focuses on developing and delivering a variety of documents to support ECS products while ensuring consistency in methods and delivery.

Responsibilities
Coordinate the creation, updates, and release of product manuals ensuring a consistently high standard is developed, applied and maintained per corporate standards
Maintain and communicate corporate documentation standards
Manage completion of work through utilization of global ECS and third-party resources
Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of general product development process, current and next generation project activities, and basic technical fundamentals of the products
Create and prepare illustrated parts lists and parts breakdowns as required per document type using CAD files to create specific views and assemblies
Administration of ECS Engineering Documentation library that includes workflow of all documentation
Interact with Technicians, Engineers, Manufacturing, Training, Customer Support, Marketing and Sales in gathering information for documentation and updates for approval
Read and interpret company drawings, engineering drawings and ECR's when information is needed for direct input to technical publication documents
Lead dissemination of technical information in easy-to-understand language for non-technical users
Act as subject matter expert for software and process associated with function of technical writing
Assist in other areas of Product Development to support overall function of team
Qualification
Required
Ability to collaborate across departments and work with subject matter experts
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Must be able to foster teamwork, effectively communicate to implement change, work collaboratively to drive improvements and results, demonstrate decision making and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
Ability to understand technical issues and work through issues to resolution
Must be proficient in logistical problem-solving techniques and time management skills with a focus on strong customer service, interpersonal communication skills, organization, and the ability to prioritize and meet assigned deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Office products including O365, Adobe Acrobat, and software related to conversion of CAD data into usable formats in documentation
Data management systems experience and working knowledge of revision control
Knowledge related to development of processes such as workflows for document revisions, manual or automated
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and ability to report to all levels of management on status of projects
Openness to receive constructive feedback from various areas of the organization with the ability to turn that into documentation and process improvements
Knowledge of safety information standards and implementation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while completing work and managing project activities
4+ years of experience (preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sectors)
Associates degree in an applicable field (engineering, business, education) with four years of experience or a bachelor's degree in applicable field (engineering, business, education) with two years of experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment or working with manufactured products of internal design
Competency in developing customer-facing documents, including use instructions or manuals (preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sectors)
Know-how in interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
Preferred
Proficiency with managing product literature in multiple languages
Electro-mechanical equipment operation experience
Familiarity in fire protection system operation
