Responsibilities
Specify, design, develop, integrate, test, and subcontract manage software development for US Navy Nuclear Submarines
Develop and maintain tactical submarine software for a variety of submarine platforms and control systems such as: Ship Control, Combat Launch Control, Weapons Stowage and Handling
Perform software research and development
Prepare presentations
Participate in NAVSEA design reviews
Interface closely with hardware and system engineering departments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
1-5 years of post graduate engineering experience
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
Experience with Linux Operating System
Familiarity with configuration management and Quality Assurance
Experience in requirements analysis, software design, code and unit test and software/hardware integration
Networking knowledge is highly desirable
Experience leading a small team to hit interim program milestones
Experience working within an Agile and Scrum team framework
Candidate must be highly motivated, perform work independently, as well as interact with other groups and organizations in an engineering environment
The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
