ASSOCIATE PROGRAM AUDITOR, CalPERS
CalPERS is seeking multiple Associate Program Auditors in the Office of Audit Services, Employer Compliance Unit. The role involves assisting with the planning and conducting of public agency audits to ensure compliance with the Public Employees Retirement Law and CalPERS contracts.

Assist with the planning and conducting of public agency audits to ensure public agencies’ compliance with the Public Employees Retirement Law (PERL) and California Public Employee’s Retirement System (CalPERS) contracts
Qualification
Required
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be provided for the hiring manager's review
Upload a copy of your college degree or transcripts showing completion of a degree
All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification should be included in your application package to clearly demonstrate how you meet the MQs for this position
If you have a degree from outside of the United States, you must submit an evaluation of this degree to determine the US equivalency
You may need to pass an examination to establish list eligibility prior to a final offer of employment
Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov
Degree and/or School Transcripts
Preferred
Professional accounting, auditing, management information system, or related financial and/or performance consulting experience which included the preparation of reports and presentation of recommendations to management
Ability to analyze problems and recommend effective courses of action
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to effectively manage and produce formal, written reports with documented findings and objective conclusions
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
If applicable, auditing related experience gained as an employee of the State of California
