Senior Accounting Analyst

LHH is seeking a Remote - Sr. Accounting Analyst for their client, a company known for excellence. The role involves reconciliation of accounting data, process improvements, and maintaining partnerships with customers to enhance service levels.

Responsibilities

Responsible for reconciliation of internal accounting data systems research and resolve variances as needed
Actively pursues process improvements and identifies what success looks like to the customer
On-going partnerships with customers to continuously improve service levels and to ensure needs are met
Research and resolve discrepancies on general ledger accounts related to area of responsibility
Provides input to management team and proposes recommendations to maximize production efficiencies by assisting with implementation of standards and streamlining processes
Oversight and/or participate in M&A activities such as system and process integrations
Gather and prepare metrics or assigned reporting for supported business unit
Analyzes offshore production against Service Level Agreements (SLA) to identify issues with substandard quality, turn-around time and productivity and suggest solutions to management team

Required

5-10 years of experience in reconciliation
Conceptual understanding of accounting and finance principles
Responsible for reconciliation of internal accounting data systems
Research and resolve variances as needed
Actively pursues process improvements
Identifies what success looks like to the customer
On-going partnerships with customers to continuously improve service levels
Research and resolve discrepancies on general ledger accounts
Provides input to management team
Proposes recommendations to maximize production efficiencies
Assists with implementation of standards and streamlining processes

Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information
Demonstrates a conceptual understanding of accounting and finance principles
Strong computer skills including all applications in Microsoft Office
Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills
Ability to diagnose and analyze problems
Identify and drive appropriate solutions
Experience facilitating meetings with high level cross functional teams

Preferred

Experience with mainframe system
Oracle preferred
