Start in 2026 SummerNorth Jersey Friendship House is looking for a Summer 2024 IT Intern. The role involves hands-on experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and system administration while participating in the organization's infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities
Works towards accomplishing of department/Agency goals
Maintains confidentiality and immediately reports to management breaches in confidentiality
Practices job requirements on accurate, timely and regular basis
Observes and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with members, co-workers and supervisors
Attends all scheduled meetings as assigned
Meets relevant continuing/training requirements
Completes all required documentation/paperwork accurately and within established timeframes
Acts as first line of defense on troubleshooting hardware issues printer/device issues
Uses remote access to provide support to our day programs
Runs updates/patches on various devices
Sets up new computers, iPads, printers
Monitors Help Desk Program (SysAid) as issues are submitted
Reviews server maintenance reports for anomalies
Provides Level 1 IT Support/Help Desk to gather information/take notes. Triages tickets and escalates as
Follow up with end users either by phone or email to follow up on Sys Aid tickets
Assists with system administration for onboarding and offboarding of staff
Qualification
Required
Current NJ undergraduate student
Current NJ Graduate student
Recent NJ College Graduate: must have graduated less than one year prior to start of the internship experience (May 2023-May 2024 graduates)
Exceptional computer and system management skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Computer skills must include proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams, and electronic health record
