Responsibilities

Act as the logistics counterpart in all sourcing processes, ensuring that logistics requirements and cost implications are fully integrated into supplier selection and sourcing strategies
Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to define and validate logistics concepts for sourced parts, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and sustainability targets
Create and maintain a bottom-up logistics cost framework capturing all of Scout Motors Inbound Logistics cost to ensure full transparency and serve as a company-wide foundation for process optimization
Calculate logistics costs based on various factors, such as supplier location and transportation rates
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound logistics processes
Create comprehensible reports and use them to derive optimization measures
Implement strategies for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and compliance across all processes
Perform appropriate tasks in logistics planning that are not explicitly included in this job posting

Required

7+ years of proven automotive OEM experience in logistics cost calculation and cost management
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and automation (e.g., VBA or Power Query) is required
Exceptional numerical and analytical proficiency. The ability to interpret large datasets, perform accurate calculations, and generate actionable insights is required
Experience with data analytics and creating visualizations using Power BI is required
Experience in automotive OEM sourcing processes and I.T. systems is required
Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data integrity in high-volume environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external teams
Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Creative, collaborative and open mindset and drive to think out of the box
Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc
