Responsibilities
Verify compliance with established security policies by supporting and deploying a mutually agreed-upon policy verification process as defined in the Policy and Procedures Manual
Participate in regular security strategy meetings, providing input on policy, architecture, and risk posture
Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security threats within the mainframe environment
Support and advance client security initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory standards
Review and analyze mainframe security event scans and reports to identify trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for remediation
Evaluate current mainframe security procedures, develop recommendations for enhancement, and assist in implementing improvements to ensure ongoing compliance
Lead an annual mainframe security review to assess system security, identify potential vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations
Assess and recommend security tools and technologies to ensure they effectively meet the client’s evolving security requirements
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in mainframe security architecture, administration, or engineering
Strong knowledge of RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret security systems
Demonstrated experience with mainframe risk assessment, auditing, and compliance frameworks
Proven ability to develop and implement security policies, standards, and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IBM z/OS Security Specialist are highly desirable
