Responsibilities
Perform different in vitro and in vivo assays to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of novel vaccines against avian influenza and other viral pathogens
Engage in the investigation of the pathogenesis and viral-host interactions of influenza and other RNA viruses using multiple molecular biology approaches and ex vivo/in vivo models
Actively participate in the generation of research manuscripts and reports
Mentor personnel in the Caceres Lab
Qualification
Required
PhD in Microbiology, molecular biology or related field
Preferred
Experience working with ex vivo models in ALI culture
Experience working with the influenza virus in vitro
Experience in processing samples from in vivo studies involving influenza or other viral pathogen
Experience preparing manuscripts, reports, and or other documents of a technical and scientific nature
