Engineer Product II - Electrification

Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join their team as a Test Engineer in the electrification domain. The role focuses on collaborating with a cross-functional design team to determine testing requirements, performing various tests, and maintaining documentation of testing results.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a cross-functional design team, particularly in power electronics, to determine testing requirements for various products
Perform test procedures, motor characterization, battery testing, and generate reports with some assistance
Work with one-on-one supervision to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives
Gather and format test requirements from internal and external customers, providing feedback as necessary
Oversee the performance of power electronic Product Verification and Validation testing, both internally and externally
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of testing results and schedule progress. Communicate these to stakeholders
Employ troubleshooting and debugging strategies, determine root causes with support, and assist in troubleshooting efforts
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
Collaborate with project team members to ensure testing is performed according to product specifications
Travel domestically as needed to meet with customers and address project requirements
Support additional departmental needs as required

Required

A minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience is required
Basic understanding of embedded controllers and safe higher voltage practices
Knowledge of motor control, system testing, and design validation
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Effective customer service skills

Preferred

Experience with product development and motor control software is desired
Familiarity with dynos and various development and debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters
Experience with microcontroller peripherals and systems, including PWM outputs and A/D converters
Knowledge of communication networks and protocols like CAN, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
