Responsibilities

Lead policy development and regulatory analysis for commercial Earth observation activities
Support satellite licensing and compliance processes
Advise leadership on strategic regulatory issues
Coordinate interagency and international engagements
Translate technical capabilities into actionable policy guidance

Required

5+ years of experience assisting with drafting and revising policies, regulatory interpretations, and strategic planning documents for commercial remote sensing activities
3+ years of experience in space policy, regulatory affairs, or licensing or compliance
3+ years of experience conducting impact assessments of emerging technologies and market trends on regulatory frameworks
3+ years of experience developing Concept of Operations for commercial remote sensing
3+ years of experience reviewing and evaluating license applications and amendments for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements such as 15 CFR Part 960
3+ years of experience liaising with civil agencies, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community to harmonize policy positions
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Public Policy field
U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred

Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and managing complex projects
Possession of strong writing and briefing skills, for communicating with executive audiences
